The flame retardant, non-corrosive (FRNC) low smoke zero halogen outer sheath of the N2XCH cable makes it suitable for use in public buildings, in dry and damp environments, on or under plaster, laid on cable trays, in walls and in concrete. The N2XCH cable has copper wires and copper tape which act as a concentric conductor, laid on an inner sheath separating the insulated cores from the outer sheath. These additional layers and the copper wires and tape are not specifically designed to provide additional mechanical protection so it should not be used in direct burial installation environments without further protection from mechanical stress and water ingress. N2XCH cables are CPR compliant. N2XCH cables are available with or without a green/yellow core. N2XCH-J denoting configurations with the G/Y core. N2XCH cables with a conductor cross-sectional area size of more than 16mm2 the cores are sectorial shaped rather than circular. |
